Cultivation costs and operational barriers need to reach the people shaping support for growers.

The Cannabis Control Board established the SEE Cultivation Working Group in May 2026. Overseen by OCM’s Social and Economic Equity team, it advises on cultivation issues, with particular attention to microbusinesses and distressed farmers.

What it does

The group gathers stakeholder feedback, identifies obstacles and opportunities, and shares operating experience with OCM. That input can inform future resources, programming and policy. Its role is advisory; recommendations should not be presented as enacted policy.

Who is represented?

OCM describes a group of up to 11 members drawn from state agencies, community organizations, advocacy groups and SEE licensees. Selection considers cultivation and industry knowledge, lived experience, and commitment to equity.

Recruitment dates

OCM published two different deadlines for the initial interest period. Its overview listed November 6, 2026, and the linked form listed November 5.

The group gives cultivators a way to share operating experience with OCM as it develops support and programming.
